Day 6 of 30 Days of Amazing

Love Will Always Liberate

The late great Dr. Maya Angelou always spoke about love and its depth. During one of her most amazing interviews, she stated, “I am grateful to have been loved and to be loved now and to be able to love, because that liberates. Love liberates. It doesn’t just hold—that’s ego. Love liberates. It doesn’t bind. Love says, ‘I love you. I love you if you’re in China. I love you if you’re across town. I love you if you’re in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I’d like to have your arms around me. I’d like to hear your voice in my ear. But that’s not possible now, so I love you. Go.'”

Nothing beautiful can be created without love. Everything created was first a thought that danced to the beats of someone's heart. When we do things with love, we pay attention to the details. We take time to listen to those who speak in their perspective. Even if we do not agree, we still listen with love to understand their point. No one can do this without having love in their heart. Liberate means to set (someone) free from a situation, especially imprisonment or slavery, in which their liberty is severely restricted. When we become the embodiment of love, we can set individuals free from their own imprisonment and self slavery.

To be grateful to be loved and to have been loved is a testament of being free. To be able to do and feel however you would like to be. Whatever you create today or in the future, do it with love. Whomever you come in contact with today or in the near future, meet them as the embodiment of love. Liberate your greatest thoughts. Liberate your greatest ideas. Liberate your great conversation to those who would love to be a part of it, because it just might be the form of love they need to hear to be liberated.
