Always Know The Facts (Day 17 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Always Know The Fact: A fact is knowledge or information based on real occurrences. It is also something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed. Be aware of how your digest information given to you by others. Many people get their source of information from television while others may get their source of information from those closest to them. But even though we may have a certain trust with these individuals and media outlets, we must still check the information they give us.

As you continue your journey towards greatness, you don’t want to stumble/fall due to false information someone gave you. You want Facts Only. When a person gives you information, don’t be afraid to question the source from where they received it. Make sure you question things you read in books, things you hear on the radio, and things you see on television. You want to make decisions, whether big or small, based upon FACTS ONLY. Not assumptions. Not opinions. And definitely not maybes. When you make decisions based upon the facts, you will see great things happen while on your journey.

Be Still and Calm Your Chaos (Day 16 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Be Still and Calm Your Chaos: As we all know, chaos comes in all forms in our lives. But one of the most extreme forms of chaos we tend to get put ourselves into are the ones we create within ourselves. Chaos by definition means complete disorder and confusion. They say it’s a behavior so unpredictable that it would appear to be random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions. Let me take you deeper and tell you about the term “chaos theory.” Chaos theory concerns deterministic systems whose behavior can in root be predicted. Chaotic systems are predictable for a while and then “appear” to become random.

Quite interesting right? The amount of time for which the behavior of a chaotic system can be effectively predicted depends on three things: How much uncertainty we are willing to tolerate in the forecast; how accurately we are able to measure its current state; and a time scale depending on the dynamics of the system.

When we believe we are having a chaotic moment on our journey, it’s our own [belief system] that confirms this. Most of the time people think that someone else’s chaos is their chaos. As a result, they tend to stress about a chaotic moment they didn’t create. When we are having a moment due to overwhelming of assignments, responsibilities, family problems, or unorganized situations – Just step back and BE STILL.

Recognize that you are in control and can calm the situation. Power and Peace dwells in the individuals who can create it in the middle of [their] chaos. When you can [own] up to your chaos, you can then measure it, decide how much you will tolerate it, and when you will calm it.

Keep Your Circle in Shape (Day 15 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Keep Your Circle in Shape: How strong is your circle? You must have people in your circle that are strong in various areas. You need mentors, advisers, true friends and family members when you are on your journey towards greatness. These individuals must able to stand strong in their spot with and without you. They are self disciplined, self-motivated, intelligent, and push you towards your greatness. You can’t have weak people in your circle. You can’t have leaches in your circle. You can’t have gossipers in your circle. You can’t have people who focus on others rather than themselves in your circle. You can’t have people who don’t know themselves in your circle.

You are trying to achieve GREATNESS and you MUST have wise advisers in your circle. I am a big fan of the book of proverbs in the bible. In one of its verses, it states, “Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success” (Proverbs 15:22). You need people who are going to put you in your place in private, so that you won’t embarrass yourself in public. They want the best for you. They are the strength in the areas you are weak. They see your visions and know it as if it were their own. Don’t get it twisted; they guide you down your path. They don’t walk it for you. They simply have the best advice, wisdom, knowledge, and support you need to get you through the journey! Know the body of your circle and keep it in shape!
