Carry a Hammer and Sword (Day 14 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Carry a Hammer and Sword: Listen to me carefully. When you are on your journey or path towards greatness, you must carry a hammer and sword at all times. Why? Because the hammer is what you use to build foundations and a sword is what you use to protect it. Many people (some strangers and some close ties) will try to take and destroy the foundations you’ve built along the way but you must always use your sword to protect it. The hammer is a symbol of the foundations you’ve created with your family and friends. It symbolizes the foundation of your self-esteem, confidence, character, goals and dreams. The sword symbolizes strength, courage, fearless, and inner power. It’s what we all need to carry when we walk down this path that will test us to the core.

Nothing you created or connected to should be treated as lack of value or respect. You must keep your sword sharp at all times (fear nothing). Protect your family as all cost. Protect your goals and dreams at all cost. Protect the personal foundations you’ve created that helped build your faith, self esteem, confidence, and a sense of appreciation for the life you live. Build a strong foundation with your hammer (insight/knowledge/experiences/advisers) and preserve it at all cost with your sword. As long as you have them in both hands, your territory will forever expand. Be Great!

Speak Over Your Life (Day 13 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Speak Over Your Life: Who told you this morning that you were beautiful? Who tells you that you are amazing everyday? Who tells you it will be okay and to keep pushing when no one is around? Hopefully, each answer begins with you. Our journey to greatness long and constant.  So, we must always be able to speak over our lives the words of encouragement and prosperity. When you constantly speak over your life, things will begin to manifest in your life. Words are powerful. Especially when you understand the meaning of them and use them as a [tool] to build your life. You have to use statement like, “Today I am the summer that people yearn for in the winter” or “Everyday I will wake up in purpose and make my life the example of joy” or “This outfit looks amazing on this body of mine. I going to have to keep some neck braces in my car just for the people who are going to break their neck to get a glimpse of this amazing situation. ” (I know some awesome people with a great mindset like this.).

Our journey to personal greatness will be whatever we speak it to be. Some may speak of their journey as if it’s a catwalk in a major fashion show. Others may speak of it as walking along the coast with their feet in white sands. We must alway speak greatness, love, joy, and prosperity over our lives. Dr. Maya Angelou once said, “Words are things. One day we will be able to measure the power of words.” I believe we can already measure them. All we have to do is listen to the words people say and observe the actions within their lives. What have you been speaking lately?

Be a Student of Life (Day 12 of 21 Days of Greatness)

Be a Student of Life: We all must be students when it comes to life as a whole. If you want to live life to the fullest, you must first be the student that learns of to [live]. A student by definition is a person who is studying at a school or college. S/He is a person who takes an interest in a particular subject. Well, we must allow [life] to be our school and [living] as our subject of interest. We must be willing to be open to allowing every person and experience that we encounter to be our teachers in the school of life. As students, it’s very important to be open to learning various methods and ways of living so that we are truly prepared for whatever test we receive in the school of life.

Our journey towards greatness can be a beautiful learning experience if we decide to be life long students. We must master the art of living so that we will be able to share our methods and experiences with others. When we first embarked on our journey, we automatically became a blueprint to someone who is looking for the motivation to embark on theirs. Because of this, we must strive to be great students so that these individuals can see that the first rule to being a great teacher in life is to first be a great student. In conclusion, make it a standard to be a great student today so that you not only be one of the best blueprints in life, but you reach the top of life’s classes.
